Written by The Associated Press

CANTON, Ohio -- Charles "Sonny" Spielman, the father of former NFL player Chris Spielman and Minnesota Vikings executive Rick Spielman, has died from cancer at age 71.

Spielman died Tuesday at a Canton nursing home. He was a high school teacher and football coach.

Ohio State coach Jim Tressel says Spielman loved football and teaching kids.

Tressel says Spielman was influential in the recruiting of Ohio State freshmen Travis Howard and Etienne Sabino, who both attended Dr. Krop High School in suburban Miami, where Spielman was on the coaching staff.

Spielman's son Chris was an All-American linebacker at Ohio State and played for the Detroit Lions. His son Rick is Minnesota's vice president of player personnel.

ESPN confirmed on Thursday what Orlando officials already had said, that the Under Armour All-America game is moving to downtown Orlando.

Flanked by Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer, ESPNU vice president and general manager Rosalyn Duran said the national all-star game is set for a prime-time kickoff on Sunday, Jan. 4, 2009 at the Florida Citrus Bowl.

City officials had said they were holding the date for the game while contract negotiations were underway.

This will be the second annual game. The 2007 game was played at Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex. Disney, which like ESPN is owned by ABC, will host practice sessions and also the Burger King Skills Challenge. The game is set for 8 p.m.

"Utilizing two high-quality athletic venues such as Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium and Disney's Wide World of Sports Complex demonstrates our commitment to grow the Under Armour All-America High School Football Game into an unforgettable experience for the participants and fans," Durant said.  "We have a great event team in place and a wonderfully supportive host city, which will allow us to connect more directly with the athletic community and fans."
