The Top 10 Games of the Regular Season (#6-South Sumter vs. East Ridge)

This week we'll release our picks for the Top 10 games of the 2008 regular season. Each day we'll release two games beginning with #10 and #9 on Monday concluding with #2 and #1 on Friday.

No. 6
South Sumter 24, East Ridge 20 (Sept. 5)
East Ridge (9-1) lost only one regular-season game and this was it, in a dramatic season opener on the road. East Ridge actually got into the end zone on a fourth-and-goal keeper by Tyler Dye with just over a minute to go, but an offside penalty against South Sumter (9-1) just before the snap rendered the play dead and negated what could have been the winning points for the Knights.
