JACKSONVILLE — Stephen Barnett scored on runs of 44 and 67 yards to highlight a 34-point second quarter as Bolles dismantled South Sumter 57-7 in a Class 2A, Region 2 final Friday night.
After building a 10-0 first-quarter lead, the Bulldogs (12-0) scored three touchdowns in the first 3 minutes, 2 seconds of the quarter as Jordan Garside ran 13 yards, Barnett had his 44-yarder and Jawan Jamison added a 38-yard run. Barnett, who had 183 yards rushing — 176 in the first half — scored from 67 yards with 6:44 to play in the first half, and that was followed by a 67-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Chandler Carr to Jacob Stenson. In between the runaway, South Sumter (10-2) quarterback Denzel Smith managed a 6-yard run for the Raiders’ only score.
