Orangewood will host playoff game in DeLand

Written by Buddy Collings

Orangewood Christian (7-3) of Maitland was unable to secure a stadium near its campus for its first round playoff game Friday night and will play the game at Spec Martin Stadium in DeLand. That's a lot closer to home for the Rams' opening round opponent, Deltona Trinity Christian (6-4).

Trinity was runner-up in Class 1B, District 3.

Orangewood is the champion of 1B, District 4.

The schools both launched their football programs in 2004. They have met three times in regular season play. Orangewood won 47-16 in 2004 and 26-20 in 2006. Trinity won 14-7 in 2005. Neither has an on-campus field.
