Rising senior receiver O.J. Ross scored four touchdowns and Marlin Lane added three scoring runs as Daytona Beach Mainland outscored last season's Class 3A state champ, Cocoa, 53-39 in a spring football game at Cocoa Municipal Stadium.

The game started more than a half hour late due to a weather delay, but the Buccaneers then started fast, building a 34-3 second quarter lead.

Cocoa rallied to pull to within 46-39 before the Bucs got a huge score off an onside kick attempt by the Tigers. Ricardo Allen, a senior cornerback on the hands team, fielded the ball and ran 51 yards to the end zone.

Ross caught two long TD passes from Mainland quarterback Austin Parker, a transfer from Indiana, and also scored on a run from scrimmage and a 54-yard punt return.
